Recruitment Notice: The Mississippi Cable Telecommunications Association (MCTA) seeks to fill the position of Executive Director. The successful candidate will manage and direct all operations of the association, coordinate with the Mississippi Legislature under the direction of the Board of Directors and develop and implement strategic policy and operational goals. The Executive Director will also serve as spokesperson for the MCTA and advocate directly on its behalf.
In addition to overseeing the day to day operations of the Association, the Executive Director will keep board members informed, often at a moment’s notice, of legislative, industry and policy updates in this fast-paced and changing industry.
The candidate will coordinate with not only member companies and multi-client lobbyists, but also state counterparts and national cable advocacy groups to assist in the development of sound policy to promote at the Mississippi Capitol.
The Executive Director must possess excellent communication skills, be highly efficient, organized and proficient in understanding the legislative process. Previous working experience with the legislature is required. Experience in the telecommunications sector is a plus.
